National Color presented to Company C, 100th PA Infantry. Nicknamed the "Roundheads", the 100th was composed of men from Washington, Lawrence, Mercer, Butler, Beaver, Susquehanna, Cumberland, Westmoreland, and Allegheny counties. The regiment organized in late August 1861. On August 7, 1861, the citizens of Portersville and Muddy Creek Township, Butler County, presented the national color to Company C. The flag was carried until October 15, 1864. The regiment was mustered out of service on July 24, 186
